12 Days of Christmas... day one

I've decided to give myself a little challenge as I am coming up on my winter break- paint the 12 Days of Christmas.  So here is the first day, a partridge in a pear tree, inspired by a painting entitled "Partridge in a Pear Tree" Chrissandra Neustaedter. I liked her simplicity and as I have never painted a bird before, simple is good.  Enjoy!
